Report Writer: New for Release 3.0E
Description
The following functions have been developed in the Report Writer for
Release 3.0E
- New report for actual line items in FI-SL
- Non-assigned values for row blocks
- Beginning with Release 3.0E, you can define
non-assigned values for row blocks. The assignment of row blocks
to the block for non-assigned values takes place in report maintenance (
Create report, Change report) in the dialog box 'Create/change report: Rows'
via the menu path
-> Details -> Non-assgnd values...
- Multi-column +/- sign check.
- Up until 3.0D, the +/- sign check could take place only on one single
report column in conjunction with the +/- indicator from the sets. Beginning
with Release 3.0E, the +/- sign check supports more than one column. This
check takes all non-formula columns of the report into consideration. You can
activate the multi-column +/- check in the dialog box 'Layout: Page/Control',
'Other control' by entering the value '999' in the input field Chk
clmn f. +/- sign. You can access this dialog box in report
maintenance ( Create report, Change report) via the menu path
-> Goto -> Layout -> Page/Control, Other control...
You can use the +/- sign check in conjunction with the +/- indicator for the
realization of crucial accounts in a profit and loss statement. The
multi-column +/- sign check now enables you to also make annual comparisons or
actual/plan comparisons in a profit and loss statement.
- Database selection with aggregation.
- In addition to
selection with projection, beginning with Release 3.0D, you can
also execute an aggregation of the selected records in the database. The first
method reduces the number of table columns transferred from the database to
the application program. The second method additionally reduces the number of
table rows transferred through an aggregation of the rows with the same
key.
The new functionality is delivered in Release 3.0E for the following Report
Writer tables:
CCSS Report table for CO reports
GLT0 G/L account transaction figures
GLT1 Local FI-SL summary table (This table is usually only
used as a reference for table installation)
GLT2 Consolidation totals table
GLFUNCT Totals table with functional area for IDES
Beginning with Release 3.0E, the selection 'with aggregation' is automatically
set for new installed FI-SL tables. You can subsequently activate the new
functionality for FI-SL tables that have already been installed by editing the
control table T804E. To do so, in the general table maintenance set the option
'Type of selection' to '2'. As of Release, 3.0E the input field 'Type of
selection' replaces the selection button 'Dynamic field list' in the general
table maintenance of table T804E. You can find additional information in the
field documentation for the input field.
The prerequisites for using the selection with aggregation are the same as
those for
selection with projection.
