Manual Revaluation

Use

The Asset Revaluation (Inflation) program revaluates all assets in a single run on the basis of inflation indexes. If, however, you need to revaluate a particular asset by a specific amount – for example, if required by government legislation for whatever purpose – you can do so by posting a manual revaluation.

Features

The manual revaluation function works independently of the Inflation Accounting solution, but contains one or two features that are specific to it:

When you post a manual revaluation, the system updates the asset master data with the revaluation information.

Should you reverse a manual revaluation, you have to make sure that the Asset Revaluation (Inflation) program is able to handle it correctly.

The Asset Revaluation (Inflation) program generally assumes that if you have revaluated an asset for a given interval, it does not need to be revaluated again. However, this depends on your settings (see Manual Revaluation and the Asset Revaluation (Inflation) Program).
