Special Features of BRRESTORE 

BRRESTORE uses the dd command to restore files that were saved on a volume (tape, hard disk,...) with this command. You should therefore make sure that the init<DBSID>.sap parameter dd_in_flags is set accordingly. See Supporting the Raw Device Configuration with BRBACKUP and BRRESTORE.

BRRESTORE for Restoring Database Files

There are no special features of BRRESTORE concerning the functionality of the utility programs.

BRRESTORE for Restoring the Archived Offline Redo Log Files

brrestore -a 110-120,C11_002,70-80,C11_003,85-95

The archived offline redo log files with log sequence numbers 110-120 of the local ORACLE instance, those with log sequence numbers 70-80 of ORACLE instance C11_002 and those with log sequence numbers 85-95 of instance C11_003 are restored.
