Managing the Time Quotas of Employees in Retail Stores

Purpose

You can use the SAP HR Time Evaluation component to manage time quotas (such as entitlement to paid sickness days, for example). An employee’s entitlement to paid absence is shown in the form of an absence quota in SAP HR, and is transferred to SAP CAMPBELL Time & Attendance.

You can use this process in the payroll scenario, if you only want to use time quotas in SAP HR Time Evaluation, and do not want to use any of the additional functions in Time Management. This process is integrated in SAP HR Time Evaluation for SAP CAMPBELL and SAP HR scenarios.

Prerequisites

Process Flow

  1. You start SAP HR Time Evaluation with a modified version of schema TQTA, which is only used to create absence quotas in Time Evaluation.
  2. You download the current status of absence quotas to the master store of the employee in question.
  3. You record absences in SAP CAMPBELL Time & Attendance, and check these against the absence quotas that you have just downloaded.
  4. You deduct absence quotas in SAP HR, by recording the absences uploaded from the retail stores, and by checking them against the absence quotas.

Result

You have updated an employee’s current absence quota status in SAP HR, and transferred the information to his/her store.

Technical Background

Wage types generated in SAP CAMPBELL Time & Attendance are displayed in the form of attendances in SAP HR. For technical reasons, the wage types are not transferred to SAP HR in the form of remuneration statements, as data in this form cannot be used to create time quotas.

The attendance hours must be displayed in wage types in a schema that is implemented in either Time Evaluation of Payroll. This schema is not included in the standard system.
