Editing Calculation Formulas in the PI Assistant 
Prerequisites
You want to edit a process data calculation formula for the R/3 PI sheet.
You have created the process data calculation formula in the master recipe and called the process instruction assistant (PI assistant); see
Editing Process Instructions in the PI Assistant.
If you can only define some of the data of a process data calculation formula, such as the value of a message characteristic, when you are in the process order, you can leave the relevant field blank in the master recipe.
Procedure
To help you select the message category, the assistant displays all characteristics of the assigned message category on this screen.
Next screen.
Add. char. (Insert additional characteristic) and select the characteristic you want to add.
Output variable and enter the variable name.The indicator is automatically set for variables and the value to be calculated.
This is only possible if the standard characteristic for the unit of measure is contained in the process instruction.

If you define several output values and want them displayed in the same line, enter a short text for the first output value only.

Copy and save the master recipe.
If you have not corrected all errors when exiting the process instruction assistant, the error log is displayed. To call up the PI assistant again and correct errors, you must, however, first choose
Continue to get back to the process instruction overview.
