Editing Data Requests in the PI Assistant
Prerequisites
You want to edit a process data request for the R/3 PI sheet.
You have created the process data request in the master recipe and called the process instruction assistant (PI assistant); see
Editing Process Instructions in the PI Assistant.
If you can only define some of the data request data, such as the value of a message characteristic, when you are in the process order, you can leave the relevant field blank in the master recipe.
Procedure
To help you select the message category, the assistant displays all characteristics of the assigned message category on this screen.
For characteristics that are also marked as input values, you can use this indicator to display a planned value deviating from an actual value.
The Output indicator is automatically set for variables.
You can only do so if the standard characteristic for the unit of measure is contained in the process instruction and the Input indicator is not set for the unit of measure in the process instruction.

If you define several output values in simple data requests and want them displayed in the same line, enter a short text for the first output value only.
In the PI sheet, all values following this heading are indented.
If you enter long texts, do not use character formats such as bold or italics. They are not taken into account in the PI sheet
For hidden characteristics and output values:
For input values:
If you have assigned a check function, choose Function module parameters and check the data entered for parameter value assignment.

You cannot define an input validation for the standard characteristic Signature. Depending on the type of signature defined in the control recipe destination, you enter the following data:
– For signatures with a simple password check:
details on the authorization check
– For

If you have not corrected all errors when exiting the process instruction assistant, the error log is displayed. However, to call the process instruction assistant again and correct the errors, you must first go back to the overview of process instruction categories by choosing Continue.
