Editing Process Instructions on the Characteristic Overview
Use
You can use this procedure to maintain process instructions on the characteristic overview.
You can also use the process instruction assistant to maintain process instructions for the R/3 PI sheet that are not of type 0, Universal process instruction category (
see Editing Process Instructions in the PI Assistant). The process instruction assistant facilitates process instruction maintenance by providing specific selection screens and prompts that guide you through the definition procedure. In this case, the system creates the characteristic structure that you must otherwise maintain yourself on the characteristic overview.Prerequisites

If you have made the corresponding Customizing settings for the control recipe destination, specific process instructions are automatically inserted when a control recipe is created. You need not create these process instructions in the master recipe; refer to
Automatic Process Instruction Creation.
