Interfaces to Non-MAP Applications

Use

Enterprises focus their business processes on the data that they generate when running planning. To implement the planning procedures contained in Merchandise and Assortment Planning (MAP), interfaces are available for the following business processes:

These applications do not have to be run exclusively in Planning - they can be run in other systems also.

Prerequisites

You must make Customizing settings for your system before you can use planning interfaces:

You must specify an RFC destination, in case the application providing MAP with data is run from a different system. Use transaction SM59 when running maintenance.

When using Customizing for cross-scenario settings in MAP, the following interfaces must be active:

After defining the interface for a planning step, assign planning layouts to the step. In the network graphic for planning, a vertical line for a planning step indicates that an interface has been assigned to the planning step.

Interfaces can be assigned to layouts (when running layout maintenance):

using the network graphic (transaction WXPN1) or transaction WXP69, Assigning interfaces to layouts

.

You can only access interfaces if the planning scenario in question has status active/saved.
