Create Network

In the menu options Accounting / Logistics
choose
Project management
®
Operative structures.Choose
Network
®
Create.
The initial screen appears.
Enter the relevant data on the initial screen.
You can copy from either a standard network or another network when creating the new network.
Choose Enter.
The network header appears.
Enter general data in the network header:
- Enter a description
You can branch to word processing and enter another description by selecting the menu options Details
®
Activity/Element

Long text. - The current status of the network is displayed on the Scheduling tab page. When you create a network, the system automatically sets the status created (CRTD) for this new network.
- You can assign the network header to a WBS element, a project definition, or a sales document on the tab page Assignments. For more information, refer to
Network Assignments.
On this tab page you can also maintain organizational data for the network header, such as profit center or business area.
- The dates you have to maintain on the Scheduling tab page depend on the scheduling type. For example, if you choose forward scheduling, you must enter a start date.
- Choose Enter.
If you have not assigned the network to a WBS element or to a sales document, or if you have not yet maintained a strategy for determining the settlement rule for the network type, the system branches automatically into the Maintain settlement rule screen.
- Enter the data relevant for the settlement rule.
You can also maintain the settlement rule later.
Return to the network header by choosing Back.
- Maintain data for the network.
- Save your data by choosing Network
®
Save.
