If you do not enter a key, the system generates a number for the standard network.
The key date determines when the standard network becomes valid. The default value is today’s date.
If you enter a key date that lies in the future, you must enter this date, or a later one, every time you change the standard network. The changes only come into effect as of the key date.
The system displays the standard network header, which contains data that is valid for the entire standard network.

For information on enhancements for customer-specific fields in standard networks, refer to Project System Customizing.

You can use an existing standard network to create other standard or operative networks. All data from this standard network is copied into the new (standard) network, which you can overwrite. However, once you have saved your new (standard) network any subsequent changes to the original will not be copied.
