Creating Standard Work Breakdown Structures by Copying 

You can use an existing standard WBS to create other standard or operative WBSs. The data from this standard WBS is copied into the new standard WBS, where you can overwrite it if you wish. Any subsequent changes to the original will not be copied to the new standard WBS.

  1. From the main R/3 menu, select Accounting or Logistics ® Project management ® Basic data.
  2. Select Standard Structures ® Standard WBS ® Create.
    The initial screen is displayed.
  3. Enter

You do not have to enter a project profile.

  1. Confirm.
  2. The system displays the Create Standard WBS: Project Definition Basic Data screen. Note that the organizational data cannot be changed. You must first include the structure before you can change this data.

  3. Choose WBS Structure.
  4. The system displays the Create Standard WBS: Include Standard WBS Element screen. Note that the WBS elements of the standard WBS you copied are displayed.

  5. Select all standard WBS elements that are relevant for your new standard project.
  6. Choose Replace to rename the standard WBS elements you selected.
  7. Choose Include to copy the structure.
  8. The Create Standard WBS: Project Definition Basic Data screen is displayed. Note that you can now change the organizational data.

  9. Change the organization data if necessary.
  10. Click Structure to return to the WBS element overview and maintain any additional data.
  11. Save.
