Defining Downtimes 

Use

You have enterprise-specific downtimes that you want to enter in addition to the standard downtimes, or you want to use your own function modules for data collection for the standard downtimes.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources ® Reporting ® Enter Downtime ® Define Downtime Elements.
  2. The Change View "Downtime Category ID": Overview screen appears.

  3. Choose a downtime category.
  4. Then choose Downtime Element ID in the dialog structure.
  5. A list of downtime elements appear that are already assigned to the category.

  6. Choose New entries.
  7. Enter a downtime ID and a description. Specify the downtime type and enter a function module for data collection.
  8. If you want to use your own function modules for data collection from predefined downtime elements, you must change the corresponding entry on the Change Downtime Category ID: Overview screen and then enter your own function module as the collector.

  9. Choose .

Result

You have defined all downtimes required for your enterprise and assigned the appropriate collector. You will be able to select the downtime elements when you assign downtime elements to capacity categories.
