You can define general settings for classifying and finding objects in the user settings.
General Settings Tab
General language settings |
You can enter the language you want to use in the system. |
Display characteristic/value |
You can specify whether you prefer the language-dependent description or the language-independent name of characteristics and values. The standard language setting shows the language-dependent descriptions of characteristics and values in your logon language on the value assignment screen. If there is no description in your logon language, you see the language-independent characteristic name or value instead. |
DIN identifier |
Set this indicator if you are working with a DIN identifier. It is then displayed in an additional column in value assignment. |
Do not display document for class |
You can set the Always display document indicator in a class, to determine that an assigned document is displayed automatically as soon as you enter the class in the object search. If you set this indicator, you switch off automatic display. |
Parameters |
You can define SET/GET parameters (user-specific default values) for class, class type, and organizational area. |
In the function for classifying or finding objects, choose Default values tab.
