General language settings

You can enter the language you want to use in the system.

Display characteristic/value

You can specify whether you prefer the language-dependent description or the language-independent name of characteristics and values.

The standard language setting shows the language-dependent descriptions of characteristics and values in your logon language on the value assignment screen. If there is no description in your logon language, you see the language-independent characteristic name or value instead.

DIN identifier

Set this indicator if you are working with a DIN identifier. It is then displayed in an additional column in value assignment.

Do not display document for class

You can set the Always display document indicator in a class, to determine that an assigned document is displayed automatically as soon as you enter the class in the object search. If you set this indicator, you switch off automatic display.

Parameters

You can define SET/GET parameters (user-specific default values) for class, class type, and organizational area.
