Functions of the Object Navigator on the Web User InterfaceLocate this document in the navigation structure

On the Web user interface (Web UI) of the object navigator, you can perform various functions either by using the available pushbuttons or by selecting them from the context menus of the objects. Whenever you run a function in the view area, the function runs for the related object that is displayed. In other cases, the function is performed for the central object. The following functions are available by using pushbuttons:

  • Close

    Closes the object view

  • Additional Functions

    • Personalize views

In the object navigator, for the selected central object, you can personalize the views of a view layout that you have configured in Customizing for each object type. You can configure the following:

      • Hide views

      • Change the preferred sequence of views displayed in the object navigator

      • Mark a view as default view

The system displays the default view as the first view in the object navigator.

The personalization of views has an effect on the possible navigator settings. You can only personalize the non-hidden views there (see Settings for the Object Navigator).

The personalization of views is available in subsequent object navigator sessions.
