Customizing the Map User Interface

Before you can start using the map user interface (UI) delivered with SAP Geographical Enablement Framework, you must define and customize your settings for basemaps, reference layer group hierarchies, business layer group hierarchies and so on. You can find the detailed descriptions of the Customizing tasks in this section.

The following list outlines the Customizing tasks you have to perform to be able to use the map user interface:

• Servers for Map Services (mandatory)

• Basemaps (mandatory)

• Basemap Sets

• Reference Services or Layers

• Reference Layer Group Hierarchies

• Business Layer Group Hierarchies (mandatory)

• UI Configurations (mandatory)

• UI Profiles for Geo Objects

Map user interface (UI) delivered with SAP Geographical Enablement Framework requires an additional installation. You can find more information in the Installation section.

1. To view the Customizing screen for this part, follow one of the methods outlined in Customizing.

2. Enter the transaction code GEF_UI_CONFIG if you’re using the second method.

3. You will be navigated to the Customizing screen.
