Monitoring the Status of InfoProvider RequestsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can monitor the status of requests and records for InfoProviders and view this information for selected BW systems. You can monitor the following:

  • InfoCube correctness
  • Aggregate rollup
  • DataStore object correctness
  • DataStore object activation

You can view the number of requests or records that are not compressed, aggregated, or activated as well as the technical name of the object, number of erroneous requests or records, and so on. This allows you to identify the objects that are adversely affecting system performance.

Procedure
  1. In the Detailed Navigation pane, under Data Load Status, choose InfoProvider Request Status.
  2. On the InfoProvider Request Status screen, in the BI System Selection area, select a BW System.
  3. Check the following iViews for data load requests:

InfoCube Correctness

You can view the number of requests that are erroneous, not compressed, or not aggregated. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

Information Description

InfoCube

Technical name of the InfoCube.

No. of Recs Not.OK

Number of records that are erroneous.

No. of Reqs Not.OK

Number of requests that are erroneous.

Aggregate Rollup

You can view the number of requests that are erroneous, not compressed, or not aggregated. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

Information Description

InfoCube

Technical name of the InfoCube.

No. of Reqs Not Compr.

Number of requests that are not compressed.

No. of Reqs Not Aggreg.

Number of requests that are not aggregated.

No. of Recs Not Compr.

Number of records that are not compressed.

No. of Recs. Not Aggreg

Number of records that are not aggregated.

DataStore Object Correctness

You can view the number of requests that are erroneous or not activated. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

DataStore Object

Technical name of the DataStore object.

No. of Reqs Not OK

Number of requests that are erroneous.

No.of Recs Not OK

Number of records that are erroneous.

DataStore Object Activation

You can view the number of requests and records that are erroneous. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

Technical name of the DataStore object.

No. of Reqs Not Activated

Number of requests not activated.

No. of Recs Not Activated

Number of records not activated.

Result

You can identify BW objects that are adversely affecting system performance. You use the available report-report interfaces (RRIs) to further analyze these BW objects and ascertain why they are affecting system performance.
