Analyzing the Data Load StatusLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use the report-report interface (RRI) functionality to analyze the execution and request status for BW operations. RRIs allow seamless navigation from the iViews to the relevant transaction or query. RRIs ensure:

  • Minimal effort in administration of BW systems
  • Immediate navigation to the transaction or query, optimizing the time taken
  • Optimal system performance
    Note
Note Most RRIs are common to all iViews, but some RRIs are specific to iViews on specific monitors.
Procedure
  1. On the Data Load Status screen, choose any <Monitor>.
    Note
Note <Monitor> here refers to any of the available monitors in the data load status workset, for example Process Status.
  2. On the <Monitor>, in the BW System Selection area, select a BW System.
  3. In the context menu of the relevant iView, select an RRI.

Process Status RRIs

You can access the following RRIs:

Report-Report Interfaces

RRI Name Description

Process Status: Analysis

For the selected BW operation, you can view the following key figures:

  • Number of errors
  • Number of active processes
  • Number of processes successfully completed
  • Process variant

Process Chain Log

Displays the Process Chain Display Log for the selected process chain in transaction RSPC. You can view the individual processes involved in the process chain as a tree structure. In this log, you see the start time for the process chain.

See:Process Chain Logs Display

Display Process Chain

Displays the individual processes in the selected process chain in transaction RSPC. You can view the individual processes involved in the process chain as a tree structure.

See:Process Chain Logs Display

Change Process Chain

Displays the selected process chain in edit mode (Process Chain Maintenance Modified Version) in transaction RSPC. You can maintain individual processes involved in the process chain as a tree structure.

See:Implementing Your Own Process Type

Process Monitor

Starts transaction SM51 (SAPServers) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Monitoring Servers and Work Processes

Change a Process

Displays the maintenance page for the process type of the selected process. You can for example reschedule the start time for the start process.

Note
Note This RRI only applies to the process status iView.

Workload Monitor

Starts transaction ST03 (Workload Monitor) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Workload Monitor

ABAP Runtime Errors

Starts transaction ST22 (ABAP Runtime Error) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Monitoring ABAP Error Messages

System Log

Starts transaction SM21 (System Log) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:System Log

Monitor

Starts transaction RSMO (Monitor - Administrator Workbench) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Administrator Workbench → Data Warehousing Workbench

Data Warehouse Workbench

Starts transaction RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench: Modeling) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Modeling

Analysis and Repair of BI objects

Starts transaction RSRV (Analysis and Repair of BI Object) for the SAP NetWeaver system that you selected in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

See:Analysis and Repair Environment

RRIs for the Object Request Status and InfoProvider Status

You can access the following RRIs:

Report-Report Interfaces

RRI Name Description

<BW object> Status: Analysis

For the selected BW object, you can view the number of erroneous requests or records. Erroneous requests or records are records or requests that cannot be aggregated or activated.

Manage <BW Object>

Starts InfoProvider Administration for the selected BW object. You can view the details of requests on which the BW application is built. You can also view details, such as the request ID, request status, number of records transferred, number of records added, and source system.

See:Administration of InfoProviders

Display <BW Object>

Opens the Display <BW object> page for the selected BW application. You can edit the <BW object> on which the BW application is built as well as the <BW object> structure. For example, you can edit the dimensions, key figures and attributes for the InfoCube.

Change <BW Object>

Opens the Edit <BW object> page for the selected BW application. You can view the <BW object> on which the BW application is built as well as the <BW object> structure. For example, you can view the dimensions, key figures and attributes for the <BW object>.

Object Overview

Opens the Display Characteristic page for the selected BW Object. For example, you can view the general properties, master data properties, and hierarchy properties for the BW object.

Data Flow

Opens the Display Data Flow page of the InfoProvider on which the selected BW application is built. You can view the data flow diagram on this page.

Note
Note This RRI is not available for the master data status.

Aggregate Maintenance

Opens the Maintenance for Aggregate page for the selected InfoCube. You can build new aggregates and maintain existing aggregates defined on the InfoCube.

Note
Note This RRI is only available on the Aggregate Rollup monitor.
