Procedure documentationConfiguring End User Experience Reporting Apps

A dashboard is available for End User Experience Monitoring (EEMon), to give you a quick overview of the performance and availability of your technical systems. The EEMon dashboard does not require any initial configuration; once you have set up EEMon and Interactive Reporting, a dashboard app, with the required data, is available for each EEMon scenario. For information about the EEMon dashboard and the corresponding app, see:

You can also adjust the apps for End User Experience Reporting to your requirements. You have the following options when doing so:

  • You can set the title of the app.

  • You can set the threshold values for performance and availability separately for each app, specifying the measured values for which each status (Red, Yellow, or Green) is to be assigned. The measured values are percentages. In detail:

    • Availability: Proportion of script runs that could be successfully executed in the relevant period.

    • Performance: Proportion of the steps that could be completed within the target response time within the relevant period.

The default threshold values assigned by SAP are 93% as the threshold value from Green to Yellow and 85% as the threshold value from Yellow to Red.

  • You can specify the data basis to be used for the measurement values for each app. By default, there is exactly one app for each scenario, which includes all of the measurements in the context of that scenario. However, you can also change the data basis for existing apps by selecting the desired scenarios, robots, locations, and scripts for which the availability and performance are to be displayed in the app.

This means that you can display the values for precisely the areas that are of interest for you: for example, by creating an app for each location.

Procedure

To configure the End User Experience Monitoring app, call the EEMon dashboard, and go to configuration mode (see Configuring Dashboards). You go to the configuration screen of the app, either by adding a new app to the dashboard, or by choosing Edit for an app.

  1. A wizard appears, in which you can make the desired settings for the app. In the first step, Scenarios and Scripts, you specify the EEMon scenarios or scripts from which data is to be displayed in the app. You have the following options:

    • If you want to display data from specific EEMon scenarios in your app, choose the Scenarios entry in the dropdown list box. To do this, select the desired scenarios from the list on the left (available scenarios) and choose the Add >> button.

    • If you want to display data from specific EEMon scripts in your app, choose the Scripts entry in the dropdown list box. To do this, select the desired scripts from the list on the left (available scripts) and choose the Add >> button. To help you navigate, the associated scenario is displayed after each script.

    • If you do not want to restrict the data to be displayed in this step, choose All Scenarios in the dropdown list box.

To move to the next step of the wizard, choose the Next button.

  2. In the second step of the wizard, Locations and Robots, you define the locations or robots from which data is to be displayed in the app. You can:

    • If you want to display data from specific EEMon locations in your app, choose the Locations entry in the dropdown list box. To do this, select the desired locations from the list on the left (available locations) and choose the Add >> button.

    • If you want to display data from specific EEMon robots in your app, choose the Robots entry in the dropdown list box. To do this, select the desired robots from the list on the left (available robots) and choose the Add >> button. To help you navigate, the associated location is displayed after each robot.

    • If you do not want to restrict the data to be displayed in this step, choose All Locations in the dropdown list box.

To move to the next step of the wizard, choose the Next button.

    Note Note

If you want to display a preview of the changes to the data basis, choose the Preview button.

    End of the note.
  3. In the third step of the wizard, you specify the title with which the app is to be displayed, and the threshold values for performance and for availability for each status.

  4. Transfer your settings to the app by choosing the Apply button. This also exits the wizard.

  5. To save your changes permanently, choose Save Dashboard.
