Defining a Status

Use this process to create a new GUI status using the Menu Painter.

To create a new GUI Status, use the following procedures in the sequence in which they occur below.

• Creating a GUI Status
• Creating a Menu Bar (or create a reference to an existing menu bar)
• Adding Functions to a Menu
• Defining Function Key Settings
• Defining an Application Toolbar (or create a reference to an existing one)
• Creating the Standard Toolbar (or create a reference to an existing one)
• Testing and Activating a Status

Navigation

You can maintain a status from various points within the ABAP Workbench:

• From the Object Navigator, under Program objects
• By forward navigation from the ABAP Editor
• From the initial screen of the Menu Painter (transaction code SE41).
