You can use this process to set up engineering changer orders (see Engineering Change Order (ECO)).
In Next Number Maintenance
, you use the default numbering pattern for ECO or create a new ECO numbering pattern (see Next Number Maintenance).
In POD Maintenance
, you set up one or more PODs to execute the ECO Processing
(SU610
) activity from the Start
button (see POD
Button Activities).
Note
On the Buttons
tab page, on the row containing the Start
button associated with the ECO Processing
(SU610
) activity, you must enter a lower sequence number than the row
containing the Start
button associated with the Start
activity.
You may use the ECO Processing
activity in any POD.
If you want shop floor personnel to submit change requests, you do one of the following:
In Message Type Maintenance
, retrieve the Free Form
message type and set up email addresses to be notified when a request is submitted. Set up the Create Message
activity as a button in the
POD or as an activity in the Activities
button.
Set up the collaboration directive to integrate with the Shop Floor Change Request
activity by linking the custom directive you have created to the COLLABORATION_CHANGE_REQUEST
trigger action in Collaboration
Link Maintenance
(see Shop Floor Change Request and Collaboration Link Maintenance).
When an operator chooses Create Message
in the POD, an email will be sent to the addresses set up to notify them the shop floor has requested a change for consideration.
