The following tables describe activities that are associated with buttons on the predefined Operation, Work Center and Message Board PODs.

Default Operation PODs

POD Button Activity

Activity ID

Description

Start

PR500

Starts the selected SFC numbers, shop order, and process lot at the entered operation and resource, and displays them as selected and active in the POD Work List.

Validates that the selected resource is in a current status to process product and is in a status permitted to produce product (see Start)

Complete

PR510

Completes the SFC numbers selected in the POD Work List and places them into queue at the next step on the routing. Resets the selected resource from Productive to the Enabled status when the last active SFC number is completed from the resource (see Complete). The resource status is changed to Pending when SAP ME receives a message to take down the resource and there are active SFC numbers. When the last SFC number is completed the resource status is changed to Scheduled Down.

Note Note

If you complete an SFC number that belongs to a process lot, you must remove it from the process lot first. The POD displays a message stating this. Choose the Complete button to remove the SFC number from the process lot and send it to the next operation on the routing.

Completes a selected SFC number at selected operation to indicate that the SFC number has completed processing and is ready to be worked at the next operation

Note Note

If other users are currently working on the same operation of an SFC number, the POD displays a message stating this and lets you choose whether to complete/sign off the SFC number, or to cancel completing the SFC number. Choose Continue to complete the SFC number.

Sign Off

PR520

Removes selected SFC numbers from the POD Work List and returns them to the Browse Work List with the In Queue status.

Resets the resource from Productive to the new Pending status when the last active SFC number is removed from the resource (see Sign Off).

Places a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that the SFC number is no longer being actively worked on the shop floor

Note Note

If other users are currently working on the same operation of an SFC number, the Work Center PODs display a message stating this and allows you choose whether to remove the SFC numbers from the POD Work List or to cancel signoff. Choose Continue to sign off the other users.

WI List

WI_LIST_DISPLAY

Allows the operator to view a list of all work instructions for the selection (see Work Instruction List and Work Instruction)

Work Instruction Viewer

WI500

Allows the operator to view work instructions

You must set up work instructions in the system before users can view them (see Work Instruction Viewer).

Component List

COMP_LIST_DISPLAY

Allows the operator to view all components to be assembled for the selected SFC numbers and then filter the components to the selected operations (see Component List).

Assemble Components

CT500

Collects assembly data for components to be assembled for a selected SFC number at selected operations (see Assembly Point (Assemble Components))

DC List

DC_LIST_DISPLAY

Allows the operator to view all DC groups to be collected for the selected SFC numbers and then filter the DC groups to the selected operations (see DC Group List).

DC Collect

DC500

Displays data parameter fields in which the operator can enter values, such as room temperature or the thickness of a sample (see Data Collection Entry)

When setting up a POD with DC500, sequence it after Start (PR500) and before Complete (PR510).

NC Tree

NC_TREE

Displays in a tree view the NC codes that have been logged for the selected SFC numbers at the selected operation (see NC Data Tree).

NC Selection

NC_SELECTION

Displays the list of NC groups and associated NC codes that have been defined for the selected operation (see NC Selection).

NC Data Entry

NC_DATA_ENTRY

Allows the operator to log nonconformance codes against one or more selected SFC numbers (see Log NC (NC Data Entry) and NC Client Maintenance)

Tool List

TOOL_LIST_DISPLAY

Allows the operator to view all tools to be logged for a selected SFC number and then filter the tools to the selected operations (see Tool Group List)

Log Tool

LOG_TOOL

Allows the operator to log tool numbers for a selected SFC number (see Log Tool Entry).

Change User LCC

LT240

Allows you to change the labor charge code (LCC) that the system is currently using to track your time when you are not working on SFC numbers (see Change User Labor Charge Code)

Default Work Center PODs

POD Button Activity

Activity ID

Description

Start

PR500

Starts the selected SFC numbers at the entered operation and resource, and displays them as selected in the POD Work List

Validates that the selected resource is in a current state to process product and is not in the Pending status (see Start)

Start

PR505

Starts the SFC numbers associated with the entered material at the entered operation and resource, and displays them as selected in the Start by Material list. Used for high-volume environments (see Start by Material)

Complete

PR510

Completes the SFC numbers selected in the POD Work List and sends them to the next step on the routing. Resets the selected resource from Productive to the new Pending status when the last active SFC number is completed from the resource (see Complete)

Log NC Reject

LOG_REJECT

Logs primary NC codes for a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that additional work must be performed at the same operation and to automatically reopen all previously closed buyoffs (see Log NC Reject)

Buyoff Accept

BUYOFF_ACCEPT

Performs buyoff of a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that the user has completed processing and the SFC number can be approved by another user or is ready to be worked at the next operation (see Buyoff Accept)

Labor On

LT370

Logs the user as starting work on an SFC number in the POD (see Labor On)

Note Note

You must assign this activity to the Start button in the POD Maintenance for the labor information to be collected on Start.

Labor Off

LT380

Logs the user as stopping work on an SFC number in the POD and allows to collect distributed work time (see Labor Off and Collect Work Time)

Note Note

You must assign this activity to the Complete and Sign Off buttons in the POD Maintenance for the labor information to be collected on Complete.

Tool List

TOOL_LIST_DISPLAY

Allows the operator to view all tools to be logged for a selected SFC number and then filter the tools to the selected operations (see Tool Group List)

Log Tool

LOG_TOOL

Allows the operator to log tool numbers for a selected SFC number (see Log Tool Entry).

Shop Display

SHOP_WB_PLUGIN

Allows the operator a tree view of key configuration data, all routing steps, and all associated work instructions, data collection, components, and tools for the selected SFC number (see Shop Workbench).
