In the group box
Charge on Amount
, you edit those fields of a condition that are included in
Amount Category 115050 Charge on Amount
A condition type with the amount category
115050 (Charge on Amount)
must have the
transaction type
differentiation category.
You use this group box to define a charge that is time-dependent, such as posting of a payment item, and amount-dependent, such as for the amount of a foreign transfer.
Example
If your customers withdraw money at a foreign ATM, you want to debit a charge that is dependent on the withdrawn amount. The charge should be 3% with a minimum amount of EUR 10. Each customer is allowed one free withdrawal abroad in each period of use.
You define a condition with a percentage = 3%, a minimum amount = EUR 10, and free items = 1.
You can make the following settings when editing a condition with the amount category
115050 (Charge on Amount)
.
You can enter an amount in the
Amount
field, which is to be levied for each transaction type, such as a foreign transfer. Alternatively, you can use the
Percentage
field to define the percentage of the transferred amount that is to be charged.
If the resultant charge is less than the minimum amount, then the customer is billed with the amount entered in the
minimum amount
field. Similarly, you can restrict the charge per counter using a
maximum amount.
If you chose a value in the
item counter
field, you can enter a specific number in the
free items
field so that no charge is levied for this number of items during the period of use.
You can enter a
payment currency
that differs from the condition currency, which is then valid for all amount fields of the charge condition if no condition currency exists. If both currencies exist, then the condition currency is valid.
You can define tiered or interval calculation by choosing
Tiered Calculation
or
Interval Calculation
in the
Tiered/Interval
field. For each tier and interval, you can enter a
percentage
,
amount
,
minimum amount
, and
maximum amount
that is to be levied from a
lower limit
to a
upper limit
.
You can scale the charge automatically by choosing
Automatic Scaled Calculation
in the
Tiered/Interval
field.
Enter a charge amount in the
Amount
field. This is valid for the first scale.
Enter an amount in the
Additional Amount (Scaled Calculation)
field, which is to levied for each amount limit reached. When you enter a (base) amount, the systems adds this amount to the result of the scaled calculation.
Enter the amount for the first scale in the
Amount Limit (Scaled Calculation)
field. Each additional scale increases automatically in relation to this amount limit.
You can also define a
Minimum Amount
and a
Maximum Amount.
For more information about automatic scaled calculations, see Edit Tier, Interval and Mixed Tier/Interval Conditions .
If the condition is a markup condition, you can also use a tiered or interval calculation. The
amount
field is available for absolute markup, the
percentage
field is available for relative markup. For more information, see
Markup Conditions
.
