The procedure describes how you define automatic scaled calculation of charges on amount.
Automatic scaled calculation is done with an additional amount and an amount limit in which the amount limit refers to the size of the transaction amount. The system adds an additional amount for each amount limit started. If you specify the basic amount, the system adds it to the result of scaled calculation.
You can enter a basic amount in the Amount
field.
The system adds the basic amount to the result of scaled calculation.
Enter a scaled amount in the Additional Amount for Automatic Scaled Calculation
field, which is levied for each amount limit reached.
Enter the amount limit for the automatic scaled calculation.
This defines the size of the first scale and the increment for each additional scale.
You can enter a minimum amount.
If the resulting charge amount is smaller than the minimum amount, the system charges the minimum amount to the customer. Similarly, you can restrict the resulting charge amount to a maximum amount.
You have defined a charge with automatic scaled calculation.
You define a charge with automatic scaled calculation as follows:
Field |
Amount |
---|---|
Amount |
EUR 3 |
Additional Amount for Automatic Scaling |
EUR 0.20 |
Amount Limit for Automatic Scaling |
EUR 5 |
Minimum Amount |
EUR 4 |
Maximum Amount |
EUR 10 |
The system calculates the charge as follows:
Number of started amount limits x Additional amount for automatic scaling + Amount
The system compares the result with the minimum amount and the maximum amount to determine the charge.
Depending on the transaction amount, the following charges result:
Transaction Amount |
Scaled Calculation |
Charge |
---|---|---|
EUR 18 |
4 x 0.20 + 3 = EUR 3.80 |
EUR 4 |
EUR 44 |
9 x 0.20 + 3 = EUR 4.80 |
EUR 4.80 |
EUR 200 |
40 x 0.20 + 3 = EUR 11 |
EUR 10 |
