Maintaining the Storage DataYou now place the stability samples into storage under the predefined storage conditions and then maintain the storage data for each stability sample in the system (for example, date of storage, location, and quantity of each stability sample stored). Once you have entered and saved this data, the system automatically releases the stability sample for each storage condition, allowing you to define a start for the stability study. The system also documents the entry of the storage data as a task in the stability study. If necessary, you can perform this procedure more than once.
When you maintain the storage data for a storage condition, make sure you observe the following rules:
You cannot specify a storage date that lies before the date of receipt of the initial sample.
You cannot specify a storage date that lies in the future (beyond the current date).
The system automatically proposes a storage quantity for a storage condition. This is the default quantity for the storage condition taken from the physical-sample record. You must overwrite this default quantity and enter the storage quantity that you actually place into storage.
The total sample quantity you maintain for all stability samples must be greater than zero and less than or equal to the total quantity of the initial sample.
You have specified storage conditions in the stability study .
From the

.
A dialog box for maintaining the data for the stability samples appears. Among other items, this dialog box provides a description of each storage condition and shows the current status of each storage condition.
For each stability sample to be stored under a storage condition, select the corresponding row in the table and maintain the following data:
Quantity
The quantity proposed by the system is the default quantity. Overwrite this value with the quantity that you will actually place into storage.
Storage date
The date proposed by the system is the current date. The date you enter cannot lie before the date of receipt of the initial sample.
Physical-sample location
Enter the location of the storage condition where you will store the stability sample.
Number of physical-sample labels
An entry for this field is optional. If you enter a value, the system will print the labels when you save the stability study. You can also print the physical-sample labels at a later time using the corresponding follow-up function in the action box.
Choose one of the following options in the dialog box, depending on how you want to proceed:
Store Stability Samples, Save/Exit Notification
Store Stability Samples, Save/Change Notification
