Assigning Vehicles to a Driver

Use

You can use the driver-vehicle assignment to create a shift schedule, which forms the basis for trip planning .

Prerequisites

To enable the shipment plan to be based on the shift schedule, the driver-vehicle assignment must be activated in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) . This is the default setting. To change this setting, choose Start of the navigation path TD (Transportation and Distribution) Next navigation step TD Bulk Shipment Shipment Planning Workbench Maintain Attributes for Transportation Planning Point End of the navigation path .

Procedure

There are two ways of getting to the initial screen:
- ¡ Logistics Sales and Distribution Bulk transportation Interfaces Planning Workbench Environment Drv/Veh-Assignment Maintain
- ¡ Logistics Sales and Distribution Bulk transportation Shipment Scheduling Planning Workbench Environment Drv/Veh-Assignment Maintain
Enter the transportation planning point.

In order to limit the selection, you can enter individual drivers, vehicles, driver shifts, and dates.

Choose Maintain assignment .

This takes you to the assignment screen.
On the assignment screen, you have the following processing options:
- Choose New line and enter the following data:
  - Planned shipment start
  - Driver shift
  - Driver
  - Vehicle
  - Shift date
- Select one of the existing entries and choose Copy assignment .Change the copied entry.
- To create more than one entry at a time, choose New entries . In the subsequent dialog box, enter the data for the driver, vehicle, driver shift, and date as a range. Choose Create new assignments .
- To delete an entry, select the relevant assignments and choose Delete lines .
- To sort the assignment list in either ascending or descending order, select the relevant column and choose Sort assignment list ascending or Sort assignment list descending .
Save the driver-vehicle assignment.
