This Web application provides managers and employees with a quick overview of the absences of employees in the team.
You can use this application in various Web Dynpro applications:
As a standalone Web application,
Time Calendar.
You can use this application to provide your managers with an overview of the availability of employees in their area of responsibility.
As part of the Leave Request Web application. The employees in a manager's team can find out about planned leave and the other absences of their colleagues.
As part of the Approve Leave Request Web application. This application enables managers to find out about the leave employees in their team have planned before they approve individual leave requests.
The
Team Calendar
comprises a calendar that displays an overview of employee absences for the team. The following information is displayed:
Full-day absences that have been posted to the
Absences
infotype (2001).Such absences are displayed in the Web application with the status
Absent.
Several partial-day absences exist for one day. This can include posted absences and requested leave. Such absences are displayed in the Web application with the status
Multiple Absences.
Leave requests that have not yet been approved. This includes new requests and requests for changes to be made. They are displayed in the Web application with the status
Sent.
Absences with this status are only displayed if you implement the Web application
Leave Request.
Requests for absences to be deleted. This includes absences that have already been approved that an employee would like to cancel. They are displayed in the Web application with the status
Deletion Requested.
Absences with this status are only displayed if you implement the Web application
Leave Request.
The various statuses are highlighted using different colors in the Web application.
You can click on an entry to view detailed information about a particular absence.
The
Team Calendar
enables you to display
Absences
(infotype 2001) and
Attendances
(infotype 2002) This means that you can also display records of the
Attendances
infotype (2002) that have the quality of an absence in your company, such as participation in training courses.
Note
Customizing for the
Team Calendar
is very similar to Customizing for the
Leave Request
and some of the same tables are used. If you implement the
Leave Request
application, all absences that employees are allowed to request in the Web application are also displayed in the
Team Calendar.
You can also display additional absences that employees are not allowed to request.
The Web application uses the request database, which is also used for processing leave requests, to determine employees’ attendances and absences:
If you implement the
Leave Request
Web application, requested leave is also displayed in the
Attendance Overview.
Even if you do not implement the
Leave Request
Web application, the application reads records from the
Absences
infotype (2001) and the
Attendances
infotype (2002) using the functions of the request database.
You can test the display function of the application. Report RPTARQUIATEST (
Test Report for the UIA Interface for Leave Requests
) enables you to do this. For more information about the tools used in the implementation phase, see
Maintaining the Database and Testing
in the documentation for the
Leave Request
application.
You use
SAP Time Management
to manage your employees’ time data.
You have set up the Web application in Customizing. To perform the IMG activities, choose
