Features

This iView provides managers with general data about an employee, such as their personnel number, hiring date, position, cost center, personnel area or subarea, and contact data (office, telephone number, e-mail address).

The system determines the contact data according to the following procedure:

  1. The system reads office and telephone data from the Internal Control (0032) infotype.

  2. The system reads the Communication (0105) infotype

    1. The system reads the e-mail address (subtype 0010)

    2. If the Internal Control (0032) infotype does not include a telephone number, the system reads the telephone number from subtype 0020 of the Communication infotype.

  3. If the system cannot find data when reading the infotypes and subtypes, it reads user data.

The system reads the remaining data from the Organizational Assignment (0001) and Basic Pay (0008) infotypes.

Integration

  • This iView is part of the General Information, Compensation Information, Personnel Development, and Compensation Profile pages.

    All iViews on these pages are called by a single Web Dynpro application. In the standard system they are not standalone applications, as users run significant parts of the data selection for all iViews on one page, centrally using a master iView. For more information about how you can include such iViews in other places in your portal, see the documentation for the Business Package for Self-Service Administrator .

  • In the Employee Search or Plan Compensation iView, managers select the employees for whom they want to display data in the General Data iView.

  • You can also call the General Data iView with the hyperlink from the Holders iView of the position profile. In this case, it is displayed in a separate window on the General Data page.

  • You can call the Organizational Assignments iView from the General Data iView using a hyperlink.

Prerequisites

  • The general prerequisites for the business package are fulfilled.

  • Data is stored for the affected employees in the ERP system in the following infotypes:

    • Organizational Assignment (0001)

    • Basic Pay (0008)

    • Internal Control (0032)

    • Communication (0105)
