Setting Up Dynamic Navigation in SAP Fiori Launchpad on Portal
As an administrator, you can assign dynamic navigation objects to an iView or page.
Prerequisites
One or more iViews or pages are configured as dynamic navigation objects.
Context
You can set context-sensitive dynamic iViews to pop up automatically when an end user launches the associated iView or page.
End users can see the dynamic navigation iView and the content area side-by-side.
When end users launch an iView or page from the home page or tile catalog, the portal provides navigation targets dynamically, depending on the selected action. End users can drag dynamic navigation objects to a new location.
You can assign up to three dynamic navigation objects to an iView or page. These dynamic navigation objects appear as buttons in the footer of the iView or page. End users choose these buttons to open the associated dynamic navigation object.
You can define the size of each dynamic navigation object. You can also set up one of the dynamic navigation objects to appear as a pop-up when end users launch the associated tile.
Procedure
- From the Portal Catalog, right-click a role or workset and choose Open Role/Workset. The role or workset opens in the appropriate editor.
- Open an iView or page in the role or workset editor.
- In the Dynamic Navigation tab, select a dynamic navigation object and choose Open.
- In the properties editor, choose Modify Properties. Make the following settings:

Action
Height of External Window (Pixels) Specify the default height in pixels of the pop-up when an end user opens it.
Width of External Window (Pixels) Specify the default width in pixels of the popup when an end user opens it.
Default Entry for Folder Select this property to define a navigation object as the default that displays when its folder is launched, even if the iView or page is located in top-level navigation.
- Save your changes.
