Assigning Dynamic Navigation iViews

Prerequisites

You have access in the Portal Content Studio to both the iView/page to which you want to assign dynamic navigation iViews, and the navigation objects that you want to assign.
You have read permission for the navigation objects, and write permission for the iView/page to which you want to assign dynamic navigation iViews.

Note

If you are assigning navigation objects to an iView, make sure that you have write permission for the page to which the iView belongs, since permissions are not assigned to individual iViews. See Permission Levels .

You assign navigation objects as dynamic navigation iViews to iViews or pages using the Dynamic Navigation Editor.

From the Portal Catalog, right-click the page or iView to which you want to assign a navigation object, and from the context menu choose Open Dynamic Navigation.

The Dynamic Navigation Editor opens.
In the Portal Catalog, right-click the page/iView that you want to assign as a dynamic navigation iView, and from the context menu choose Add to Dynamic Navigation .
Continue to assign navigation objects as needed.
Choose Save .
