Basic Catalog Category

Special Version of a General Catalog In addition to the attributes and properties of a general basic catalog category, a basic catalog category also contains further attributes or connection types for items. Every basic catalog is assigned to a basic catalog category.

Catalogs with items which permit specific attributes or connection types, must be implemented using a separate basic catalog category. These special catalog categories inherit the properties and methods of the basic class (the catalog categoryGeneral Catalog).

Structure

The General Catalog basic catalog category, upon which all other basic catalog categories are based, has the following properties:

All attributes of the basic catalog header
General attributes of the basic catalog items
Group items and individual items which can be used to display the catalog items in a hierarchical structure.
Indicator which items can be selected. By default individual items can be selected, group items cannot. You can manually change the default setting so that group items can also be selected.

The General Catalog catalog category allows the following assignments:

General (COM) Assignment Type: With this assignment type you can connect items from different basic catalogs with each other.
URL Assignment Type: You can use this assignment type to connect items with URLs.
