Background documentationClinical Work Station: Setup

The Care Unit Work Station has been designed to provide you with administrative and medical functions in one user interface. Data and functions from IS-H and IS-H*MED are available in one list.

To enable the system administrator to set up the large volume of data and functions for a certain user or user group as easily as possible, there is now a tool to set up "views" of the patient. This tool lets you devise views based on real work processes. Only those functions or data actually required by the user are available in his or her view.

Example Example

Care unit work station:

After the daily rounds, the examinations, operations and discharges that the physician authorized are entered into the system. It is possible to have a view labeled “Visits” containing the following data:

  • Patient data

  • Reference to existing requests

  • Reference to patient documents

  • Patient diagnoses

In addition, the following functions should be inserted as pushbuttons in the function bar above the main display window:

  • Enter Diagnoses

  • Enter Discharges

  • Create Requests

  • Create/Change/Display Documents

In the Care Unit Work Station you are able to create a view with this data and these functions and make it available to all work station users who work with this view.

End of the example.
