When you maintain an appointment, you can create a visit for this appointment. A visit with the Actual status is created from the appointment.

See Editing Appointments (Appointment Editor)

Note Note

Once you have created a visit in Actual status for an appointment, you can then only make limited changes to the appointment. The appointment does not change due to changes in the visit.

End of the note.

Procedure

You can change an appointment in a view of the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type in the clinical work station or in an order item in the clinical order.

  1. You select the appointment in the view of the clinical order and choose Change Appointment (Change Appointment) or choose Change Appointment (Change Appointment) in the order item of the clinical order.

The Maintain Appointment dialog box appears.

  2. You select Create Admission/Visit (Create Admission/Visit).

Depending on whether the selected entry has a case reference, you will access the case list.

  3. You select the case and then choose Create Visit (Create Visit).

You access the Create Admission/Visit variant which is defined for you.

    See Admission

If you use healthcare smart cards in your hospital, you can import the patient master data using Transfer Healthcare Smartcard (Transfer Healthcare Smartcard).

    Note Note

Using the admission variant (NV2000) in SAP Patient Management (IS-H) the system administrator can configure an admission dialog for the registration of a patient. You can select a different variant by choosing Start of the navigation path Visit Next navigation step Other Variant End of the navigation path.

    End of the note.
  4. Enter the required data.

    Note Note

The system transfers the date of the appointment to the visit. You can overwrite the date in the visit.

    End of the note.
  5. Save (Save) the visit.

If caseless objects (for example, caseless order items of a clinical order) are saved for the appointment, the case reference for these objects is created.

Depending on the customizing settings, you access a dialog box for creating the case reference or the system automatically creates the case reference.

You return to the view of the clinical work station or the clinical order.
