Create Appointment and Clinical Order
You use the Create Appointment and Clinical Order
function if you wish to create an appointment together with a clinical order in one work step.
You call the planning grid, for example, Appointment Planning View Type
or Plan Appointment
. For calling the Create Appointment and Clinical Order
function, the following options are provided:
You can choose the Create Appointment and Clinical Order
function in the context menu of a free time interval.
You can double-click a free time interval.
If you create a new appointment, you also have the function Create Clinical Order available in the following places:
when creating an appointment in the appointment editor
when searching for an appointment in the time slot or appointment list
After you have called the function Create Appointment and Clinical Order
or Create Clinical Order
, the Create Order: Selection for Assigning Appointments
dialog box appears.

The selection list for order types is provided for assigning appointments to order types. See Order Type Selection List
You can assign the previously selected appointment proposals to order types including services.
In the selection list (right-hand screen area), the system shows the appointments that are not yet saved and represents them with
(-
). If you assign an order type to an appointment in the selection list, the system identifies the appointment with
(-
).
Note
Note that you are allowed to transfer a maximum of ten order types into the selection list and that appointments to which no order type is assigned cannot be transferred into the clinical order.
In the list of order types (left-hand screen area) the system shows all the order types that can be assigned to the appointments displayed.
You can, for example, perform the following functions in the Assign Order Type to Appointment

Note
Note that the system always automatically selects the next appointment in the selection list. If you assign an order type to an appointment, the system automatically selects the next unassigned appointment.
If you have selected only one order type or corresponding service and then choose
(Transfer
), the selected order type is assigned automatically to the selected appointment and you access the clinical order.
