Creating a Material Proposal With MM Integration
You can define material proposals for services from the service range of the organizational unit (OU). The user sees the material proposals during the documentation of materials consumed and can adapt them to suit the material actually consumed.
The material proposal for a service in the service range of the OU is based on:
Material from the material catalogs of the OU with the entry of a corresponding standard consumption quantity
Subtree from an existing hierarchy definition for the input help
A prerequisite for the function is that the material consumption documentation is used with Materials Management (MM) integration.
From the SAP Easy Access
screen you select . The Maintain Material Proposal
screen appears.
Enter the required data.
Choose
(Change
).
The Maintain Material Proposal:
screen appears with a display of the maintained material proposals.
Enter the required data. Some of the fields are not ready for input. These fields are preset with data from the material master. You can find detailed information on the fields in the field help.
You can enter the following values in the Service
field:
Service from the service range of the OU
Surgery anchor service
Service which defines a service group for a Superordinate Material Proposal
Save the entries. When saving the system checks whether the entries made satisfy the consistency checks.
Note
In Surgery, we recommend that you create the material proposal for the surgery anchor service. The material proposal of the surgery anchor service is also used as the material proposal for all services which are attached to the surgery anchor service. If a material proposal is entered for a service, the system displays the material proposal for the service and the material proposal for the surgery anchor service.
The entries made must satisfy the following criteria:
Either the Material and Quantity fields may be filled or the Hierarchy and Node fields. If you wish to assign both materials and nodes from the hierarchy definition to a service, a separate entry is necessary for each assignment.
The service must originate from the service range of the OU, or be a surgery anchor service, or a service group for which a superordinate material proposal is defined.
The entered material must be contained in a material catalog of the OU.
The entered node key must be contained in the hierarchy specified by the hierarchy key.
Consistency checks are executed during saving and when
(Check Entry
) is selected.
You can test the input help for the material proposal. Select one or more entries and then choose the icon with the quick info text Test F4 Help
. You see the material proposal defined for the individual services as it appears to the user in the material entry input help. This function is primarily used to check the parameterization. If you select all entries, call the input help test and select the Print function, you will receive a complete printout of the parameterized specific material proposals.
Note
The institution-related, time-independent parameter N1MMAKT
(active MM integration) may not be set when defining the service-specific material proposal.
