Customizing Functions for the Request
As the system administrator you must enter the basic data and settings necessary for the clinical order in the system.
You can enter and manage the necessary basic data in the implementation guide
under .
To be able to request services, you must store services in the service range of the corresponding treatment organizational unit (OU). You can find further information in SAP Easy Access
under .
Note
It does not matter whether you add the service to the service range directly or indirectly via a superordinate group service.
With regard to services, this can be the surgery service to be executed, or a universally used surgery service which is specified by a verbally formulated text or the entered diagnosis.
You must flag every service which you wish to request as requestable in the service master. This results from the communication process between the initiating and treatment OU.
Requests must already be in use in your system, so that you only add new request types.
The following set up functions already exist:
Define number range for requests
Maintain request status
Maintain priorities
Maintain transport types
Maintain degrees of infection
You can find detailed information in the implementation guide
under .
The following set up functions include the necessary basic data and/or enhancement possibilities for a request type:
Set up number ranges for requests
The number range for each request type is used to allocate request numbers in the request. You must provide each request type with a separate number range. You can define several intervals for a request type.
Note
You can only define internal number ranges.
You can find detailed information in the implementation guide
under .
Assign interval to number range object
You assign an interval to the number range object of the request type. Only one number range interval can be active at any one time.
You can find detailed information in the implementation guide
under .
Define request types
The request type defines forms in the system for the service request.
See Request Type.
You can also define the appearance of the selection list for request types. The selection list displays request types, order types, clinical orders, and request profiles.
Selection list: Set up tab pages
When creating a request you receive a selection list of request and order types. You can structure the selection list with tab pages.
Caution
The system parameter N1VKGTPA
must be set in order for the dialog box with the selection list to appear. If the system parameter is not set you can only create clinical orders or use the Enter Received Request function.
You can find detailed information in the implementation guide
under .
Selection list: Assign tab pages to requesting OUs
You must determine which of the previously created tab pages should be available to a requesting OU in the selection list of request and order types.
You can find detailed information in the implementation guide
under .
You can enter the following parameters for the settings in the request: As requests and clinical orders are parallel constructions, clinical order parameters also have an effect on the request.
System Parameters
You set the system parameters in the Implementation Guide
under .
N1VKGTPA
You use this system parameter to control whether the system should generally display the order type selection list when creating a request/clinical order. The selection list must be displayed when creating requests, in order to be able to select a request type.
N1CORDER
The system parameter N1CORDER defines whether you use only clinical orders, only requests, or both for a system.
