Procedure documentationChanging Assignments

You can change existing assignments between drugs (in a drug hierarchy) in the work area.

Changing an assignment refers to the inheritance of attributes from the superordinate drug to the subordinate drug, but not to assigning one drug to another.

If you wish to assign a drug, for example, to another superordinate drug, you must delete the existing assignments and create a new assignment to another superordinate drug.

Prerequisites

You must have defined several drugs for the internal drug catalog in use and the drug must already have one or more drugs assigned.

Procedure

  1. Choose Change Assignment (Change Assignment).

You access the Confirm Assignments dialog box.

The system displays drug attributes (field values, classifications and agents) which are already assigned to the drug in the work area.

See Inheritance of Attribute Values to Subordinate Drugs

Select the attributes you wish to display or edit in the selection list for the icon with the quick info text Display Fields. The following options are available:

    • Display All

    • Display Confirmed

    • Display Confirmable

    • Display Differences (standard when called)

As standard the system preselects all values which can be inherited by the subordinate drug in the Transfer column. You can deselect the values which should not be inherited by the subordinate drug.

    Caution Caution

You cannot deselect values which the system flagged in the Transfer Always Transfer (Always Transfer) column.

    End of the caution.

To select all optional values for inheritance, choose the All pushbutton.

    • If you have used this pushbutton to select all optional values for inheritance, the name of the pushbutton changes to None and you can undo the selection of the optional values (except the selections with the quick info text Always Transfer).

    • If you have deselected all values for inheritance, the name of the pushbutton changes to Default and you can return to the preset selection of optional values originally made by the system.

    Note Note

As standard, the system preselects all optional values as a default. However, you can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) ISHMED_ME_MD_PRC_INHERIT to customer-specifically change this. See Customer-Specific Enhancements for Medication

    End of the note.
  2. Choose Confirm (Confirm) to confirm and execute the changes in the assignment.

The Drug Management screen appears once again.
