You use the Cancel Event function to cancel one or more events. Canceling one or more events of an order has no effects on the actual order itself.

Note Note

In the case of PRN medication main events (PRN Medication indicator in the order) the system also cancels the corresponding administration or dispensing events.

Procedure

  1. Select one or more events in a view of the Medication Events/Inpatient Nursing Services View Type in the clinical work station and then choose Cancel Event (Cancel Event).

    The system displays the Cancel dialog box.

    The system displays the events to be canceled per patient.

  2. Enter the cancellation reason for canceling the events and the employee responsible and then choose Continue (Continue).
