You can set one or more administered, dispensed or printed events to ended, i.e. the status of the events is set to Ended.

As soon as an event receives the status "Ended", you can no longer edit the event.

Note Note

You cannot end events which have not yet been administered. You must cancel these events.

You can end PRN medication main events immediately after the day of validity ends, as the documentation of the administration/dispensing of the drug can only be executed on the day on which the main event is valid.

Procedure

  1. Select one or more events in a view of the Medication Events/Inpatient Nursing Services View Type in the clinical work station and then choose End Event (End Event).

    The Change Status dialog box appears.

  2. Enter the employee responsible for changing the status to "Ended" and then choose Continue (Continue).
