Cancel Clinical Order
You can cancel the clinical order in order to remove a clinical order from processing that was entered incorrectly or which is not actually required.
The cancel functionality and the dialog for canceling orders and assigned objects correspond to the Canceling Objects in i.s.h.med.
When you cancel a clinical order, all dependent objects are also canceled:
All order items
All services for the order items
Note
The system also deactivates the created status objects for the order items.
Appointment templates for the order items
Appointments for the appointment templates and/or appointments for the order items services, if no other objects are linked to the appointment
Provisional patient master data, if the order is the last object with which this data is connected
Caution
If the system cannot cancel an individual object, the clinical order also cannot be canceled. This also applies when canceling order items. The system cannot cancel an order item, and therefore also the clinical order if, for example, the appointment for the corresponding service cannot be canceled.
Cycle
If you cancel an order item, the system will delete all data in the order header which belongs exclusively to this order item. The system will also cancel all objects which are dependent on this order item:
All services of the order items
Note
The system also deactivates the created status objects for the order items.
Cycle
Appointment templates for the order item, if this order item is the last item for the appointment template
If an appointment dependency exists for this order item in the appointment template, the system will first transfer the dependency of the order item to be canceled to the next item. The system will then cancel the appointment template.
Example
A clinical order consists of three items: You cancel the second item. The system transfers the dependency of the first item on the second item so it is then dependent on the third item.
Appointments for the appointment templates and services of the order item, if no other objects are assigned to this appointment.
You can only cancel an order item if it contains no movements in Actual
status.
Note
The system automatically cancels the clinical order if you cancel the last order item of this clinical order, e.g. within a view in the clinical work station (for example, from a view of the Clinical Orders
view type). In order to retain the clinical order and only cancel the order item, you must create a new order item for this order before canceling the last order item.
However, if you cancel the last order item of a clinical order directly when processing the order, the system will create an empty order item and will not cancel this order.
The system will only automatically cancel the appointment template when an order item is canceled. The appointment template is a separate object and is not displayed in the cancellation dialog.
If you cancel an appointment, the system will offer the order item as an option when canceling, however, only if the appointment is the last valid object for the appointment proposal. You can also cancel the services for the appointment (optional).
If you cancel a movement of a clinical order, the system will check whether a service is assigned to this movement:
If the assigned service has scheduled status, you can also cancel the service (optional).
If you select the service for cancellation, the system will also cancel the appointment.
If you do not select the service for cancellation, the system detaches the movement from the appointment and resets the status of the service to the service status which was valid before the movement was created. The system will also remove the case reference.
If the assigned service already has a released or performed status, the system will automatically cancel the appointment and services (not optional).
If the movement is not connected to a service, the system will offer the appointment as a cancellation option.
If a service is the last service of an order item, you can also cancel the order item (optional).
Note
For all other objects attached to the service, the same behavior applies as when canceling services without clinical order items. This means that if the service is assigned to, for example, a movement and no other services are assigned to this movement, you can cancel the movement as an option. If this movement is the last movement of the case, you can also cancel the case, etc.
If the service to be canceled is an ordered cyclical service, the system will cancel all individual services which belong to this, and the cycle. See Tab Page on Item Level
