General Assignment (COM)

You can connect items based on the catalog assignment definitions with items of other basic catalogs. This assignment type is supported by all basic catalogs.

The Assign Item function opens a selection window. The selectable items have a selection field. Flag all items which you wish to assign to the master item and confirm your selection. You can use Undo Item to remove the connection with the selected item.

If you set the indicator Preselection indicator, the selected item is preselected, for example, in the nursing plan. This is sensible for connected items which are often executed together. (Example: Moisten Respiratory Tract when Cleaning Dental Prosthesis. Wash bowl, however, is rarely required in connection with this, so this indicator is not set).

Task Assignment Type (TASK)

You can connect catalog items with tasks from i.s.h.med. You can define a minimum qualification for nursing services with this connection, for example, that a nursing service may only be performed by a qualified assistant nurse.

You can use the Assign Task function to assign a task to an item. You can use Undo Task to remove the connection with the selected task.

Medical Diagnosis Assignment Type (DIAG)

You can connect catalog items with medical diagnoses, for example ICD-10 diagnoses. You can use this connection to generate ICD-10 diagnoses as secondary diagnoses and therefore optimize DRG classification.

The Medical Diagnosis assignment type is supported by the following basic catalog categories:

You can use the Assign Diagnosis function to assign a task to an item. You can use Undo Diagnosis to remove the connection with the selected task.

Services Assignment Type (NTPK)

You can connect nursing procedures with services, for example with billing or controlling-relevant services. Nursing services can be billable or controlling-relevant from a cost accounting point of view. You can use this connection to include nursing services or their billable equivalents, controlled with service rules.

You can use the Assign Service Assignment function to assign a task to an item. You can use Undo Diagnosis to remove the connection with the selected task.

Material Assignment Type (MAT)

You can connect catalog items with materials from SAP Materials Management. You can connect a catalog item with several materials and their units. You can specify a quantity for each connected material.

If you implement the BAdI for releasing a nursing service, you can generate a material document with this assignment, in order to document material consumption and trigger processes in Materials Management, for example, orders.

The Material assignment type is only supported for the Materials basic catalog category.

You can use the Assign Material function to assign a task to an item. You can use Undo Material Assignment to remove the connection with the selected task.

NSR Services Assignment Type (NSR)

You can connect nursing procedures with NSR services. The Nursing Staff Regulation (NSR) classifies a patient daily in an NSR group, based on the planned or performed services. This provides information on the nursing outlay for a patient and helps to determine the nursing outlay and the personnel required at each OU.

The assignment of NSR service to catalog items is made in the Edit Basic Catalogs function. In the left-hand screen area, open the NSR Services area and assign the NSR services to the corresponding catalog items using Drag&Drop.

URL Assignment Type (URL)

You can connect catalog items with several URLs. A URL can reference, for example, an Internet site or a file in a local network. Each item can be connected to a different URL for each work area application. The content of the URL is displayed, for example within the nursing plan in a dialog. This means that you can display, for example, a guideline for a procedure.

You can use the Assign URL function to assign an URL to an item. You can use the Undo URL function to remove the URL for the selected task.
