Using the
Periodic Posting
function for a real estate contract or a vacant rental object, you can post the flows that result from the conditions on the contract or object. The result is that the planned records generated in the
cash floware posted as condition amounts to the assigned accounts of the contractual partner or to other real estate objects.

Application
The real estate objects and rental objects have the following properties:
Conditions were entered for the object, so that there are planned records in the cash flow (for example, vendor basic rent).
Objects have not been flagged for deletion (system status DLFL)
Objects have not been locked for account assignment (system status AALK).
Contracts are active and rental objects are released.
Periodic posting is made for a company code or codes. You can simulate and reverse posting runs. A posting and error log displays current information about the posting status. If you created real estate sets for your master data, you can use them for selection.
Process flow of periodic posting:
Based on your entries for contracts and rental objects, the system selects all flow records that are due and have not yet been posted (planned records of the cash flow).
For each flow record, the system determines the account for the posting and posts a debit or credit in Financial Accounting (FI).
The posting procedures can differ depending on the condition type and usage type.
On the
SAP Easy Access
screen, choose
or Periodic Posting: Vacancy for Rental Objects.
Enter the contracts or rental objects, for which you want to perform periodic posting.
Enter all necessary data for the period, the posting, and mode of the posting run.
If you want to post only those conditions with a given condition type or a given condition purpose, then also enter that condition type or condition purpose.
Run the program.
The posting log appears. Here you can see the status of the postings or any errors that occurred during the run.
