Using the actual postings function, you can repost costs and revenues that are entered on real estate objects and contracts to other CO objects.
You implemented the
SAP
Controlling (CO)
component or its subcomponent
Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM)
.
You made all the necessary settings for actual postings in Customizing for
Flexible Real Estate Management

Note
For detailed information on these settings, refer to the documentation of the IMG activities.
You can use the following allocation procedures for real estate objects:
Manual reposting:
Here you can repost costs and revenues for individual objects.
For more information, see Transfer Reposting for Costs/Revenues/Line Items (RE-FX) and Manual Reposting of Costs and Revenues .
Internal activity allocation:
You use this function if you performed work (internal activity) on real estate objects and want to record and settle the costs involved (for example, to a settlement unit). The service charge settlement then takes these costs into account when assigning costs to tenants.
For more information, see Internal Activity Allocation (RE-FX) .
Periodic allocations:
CO assessment on real estate objects:
You can use this function to apportion costs and revenues to real estate objects. In this process, original cost elements are cumulated or assigned in groups to assessment cost elements (= secondary cost elements). The original cost elements are lost in this process.
For more information, see Periodic Allocation on Real Estate Objects and Assessment .
Distribution:
Distributionis used for correctly settling primary costs of cost centers and business processes. During this process the original cost element (that is, the primary cost element) is kept.
The procedure is basically the same as for Periodic Allocation on Real Estate Objects .
For more information, see Distribution .
Indirect activity allocation
Indirect activity allocation is similar to apportionment. Using indirect activity allocation you can automatically settle activities based on different keys (actual values, statistical key figures, fixed shares, and so on). In addition, the system can determine the activity quantity of a sender from the activity input of the receiver.
The procedure is basically the same as for Periodic Allocation on Real Estate Objects .
For more information, see Indirect Activity Allocation .
If you want to use measurements of real estate objects as statistical key figuresfor periodic allocations, you can transfer these measurements to the statistical key figures. For more information, see Transferring Measurements to Statistical Key Figures .
Periodic reposting:
Using periodic repostings, you can make postings in Financial Accounting that are relevant for Controlling, and have the system collect these postings on an allocation cost center. This method reduces the amount of document entry required for posting in Financial Accounting. At the end of the period, you then repost the parked costs to other CO objects.
The procedure is basically the same as for Periodic Allocation on Real Estate Objects .
For more information, see Periodic Reposting in the Controlling (CO) component.
CO settlement of real estate objects:
Here you can settle costs and revenue recorded on real estate objects to other real estate objects or CO objects based on their origin.
For more information, see CO Settlement of Real Estate Objects .
Note
For an overview of all of the different settlement methods, refer to Overview: Settlement Methods . in the Controlling (CO) component.
