Changing Dangerous-Goods-Relevant Data on the Handling Unit

Use

The Dangerous Goods tab page is available in the Detailed Data of the Handling Unit dialog box to edit dangerous-goods-relevant data of existing handling units in a shipping document.

You can edit/change dangerous-goods-relevant packaging data and exceptions to dangerous goods regulations in handling unit management (HU header, HU item) of the shipping document on the Dangerous Goods tab page in the Detailed Data of the Handling Unit dialog box.

Editing dangerous goods regulations data on the Dangerous Goods tab page on the handling unit is only possible from the Shipping Document .

If you want to use the mixed packing checks and packing checks on the handling unit, refer to the information in the Dangerous Goods Checks on Handling Units document (see also Dangerous Goods Checks on Handling Units ). These checks are integrated in the handling unit process.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management, you set the HU Integration Active indicator in the Activate Dangerous Goods Checks IMG activity.

A dangerous-goods-relevant handling unit was already created for a shipping document, meaning this handling unit contains at least one dangerous-goods-relevant material (material with dangerous goods indicator profile in the material master.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Shipping and Transportation Next navigation step Outbound Delivery Next navigation step Change Next navigation step Single Documents. End of the navigation path

    The Change Outbound Delivery: Initial Screen appears.

  2. Enter the outbound delivery number in the Outbound Delivery field.

  3. Confirm your entries.

    The Change Delivery : Overview dialog box appears. The shipping document contains at least one document item with a dangerous goods indicator profile in its material master.

  4. Choose Edit -> Pack from the menu or choose with the quick info text Pack .

  5. The Process Handling Units for Outbound Delivery dialog box appears.

    Choose Goto / Detailed HU Data / Dangerous Goods from the menu or double-click on one of the existing handling units.

  6. The Detailed Data for Handling Unit dialog box appears . Here the existing handling units are displayed on the left, and the detailed data for a selected handling unit is displayed on the right. The detailed data is displayed on various tab pages. Select a handling unit and then choose the Dangerous Goods tab page .

    The dangerous-goods-relevant data for packaging is displayed on the Dangerous Goods tab page in the Dangerous Goods Packaging Data frame. You use the pushbuttons Default Pack Code (see also Specifying Packaging Code Proposals ) and Default Packaging Material (see also Specify Packaging Material Proposal ) to call up the system proposal for the determination of allowed packaging codes or allowed packaging materials.

    In the middle and lower part of the dialog box you can assign exceptions to dangerous good regulations for the handling unit (see also Assigning Exceptions to DG Regulations to the HU Header ) or for the handling unit items (see also Assigning Exceptions to DG Regulations to the HU Item ).
