Processing a Transport Request You use this function to control, process, and prepare transport requests for Customizing objects and settings compiled in the Consolidation Workbench for the export or import. For more information on the special features that apply when transporting in consolidation, see Transport: Additional Information .
You use this function to process transport requests that you compiled in the Consolidation Workbench and to transport them with the Transport Organizer .
At least one transport request exists that was generated with the transport function in the workbench and was not yet released.
You have activated the
Tools
view in the workbench.
You have authorization for authorization object
FB_SRV_TR
.
The list of the objects contained in the request can display two types of objects:
Objects that were added to the request with the transport function of the workbench have the symbol
.
Normal transport objects have the symbol
.
The system displays the following information for a selected object:
Tables and Key
: The table key, the number of key fields, and the transport attribute of the key are displayed here for the selected object.
Structure
: The table structure is displayed here.
Data
: You find the exported entries here.
Note
Data is not displayed on the
Structure
and
Data
tab pages until after you have started the request export on the
Transport Container
Display
screen or have generated container information for individual objects. Note that this is not the actual export of the request, but a preceding step in which additional information that is required for consolidation purposes is added to the request.
The actual physical export of the transport objects from the system into the export directory set up by the system administrator is an additional, separate step. This division enables you to make an organizational separation in a Customizing project between consolidation-specific activities and activities that are the general responsibility of system administration.
You can access other functions using the context menu of the objects contained in the structure tree. These are classified according to whether they refer to the transport as a whole or to an individual object contained in the transport:
You can go to the Transport Organizer to display the transport request there. You can export the transport request: additional information that is required for consolidation purposes is added to the request here. You can decide whether the export is to be started directly in dialog mode or performed in the background.
If you have already logged on to the target system or target client, use the import function instead of the export function. The system makes necessary technical adjustments in order to transfer the data contained in the request correctly into consolidation. For the import, you can also perform the import as a test run (without writing the import data to the data basis). Use this option to identify possible conflicts early on and resolve them with as little effort as possible.
Finally, you can check the structure information that the system stored in the container object.
For each individual object in the request, you can generate structure data for the container object and check it. In addition, you can generate the data to be transported for the object for the container object.
You can also call up the methods for export preparation and import postprocessing (as a test run without writing the import data) for each object.
Using you can view the transport logs that the system created in the application logfor the transports you specified. The FINB_TRvalue is predefined as the selection object of the application log.
Using you can display the transport request that is used for a client copy as the basis for postprocessing.
The ABAP OO classes to access the container objects are normally generated automatically. You can regenerate these manually if necessary using .
Go to the tools view of the Consolidation Workbench.
The

screen appears.
Make the necessary entries in the

fields.
Choose

The system imports the request data and displays it in the structure on the left of the screen.
Expand the structure to navigate to the objects of interest.
Double-click on the object to select it.
The system displays the details on this object in the right-hand area of the screen on the
