HR professionals process master data for organizational units, positions, employees, and organizational structures. In the Menu tab of this composite role, you have the URL /SAP/BC/UI5_UI5/SAP/HRPAO_LPB_JS/MAIN.HTML?page=PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL pointing to the landing page from where HR professionals can access all the data they need to complete these tasks.

When SAP NetWeaver Gateway is not installed on the same server as the back-end system, you have to use a different URL in your customer-specific composite role for HR professionals: In this case, the URL in the Menu tab has to point to the SAP NetWeaver Gateway web dispatcher: http://<web dispatcher>/SAP/BC/UI5_UI5/SAP/HRPAO_LPB_JS/MAIN.HTML?page=PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL.

The composite role comprises single roles that are primarily used for authorizations. In the Menu tab, the single roles for the lane authorizations contain the OData services required for accessing the back-end data from these lanes, whereas the single roles with authorizations for accessing employee and organization data contain the Master Data Application required for the data processing.
