Discussions Lane
Displays all active and ongoing discussions between the user and other participants.
Integration
To start a discussion in the
Discussions
lane, you first have to select the object with which you want to perform the discussion in the Master Data applicationPersonnel & Organization
(Web Dynpro application HRPAO_PAOM_MASTERDATA).Configure SAP JAM functionality. For more information on SAP Jam, refer to the SAP Jam ABAP Integration – Configuration Guide at http://scn.sap.com/
Prerequisites
You must configure the SAP JAM collaboration functionality.
The e-mail address in SAP JAM must correspond with the e-mail address in the back end HCM system for the user (in SU01 or SU10).
You have made the settings for the Discussions lane in Customizing under
Personnel & Organization

The Discussion Lane displays the ongoing discussions:
Provides an easy and intuitive way to facilitate discussions between HR Professional user and employee groups (HR Business Partners, Managers)
Provides information about the context relevant for the object
Performs actions on the affected object
Supports commenting and replying in the ongoing discussions
