Editing Rules
Use
You can copy the standard SAP rules to a customer rule and then make any required modifications. If you have written your own rules, you can change these as required.
If there is no point in copying an existing rule and then changing it to meet your requirements, you can create a new rule instead. See the notes on the assignment of names for standard and customer rules .
Activities
You can change the attributes, source text, and documentation of a rule.
The system can check the changed attribute or source text for errors in the content or in the syntax.
If you do not have an automatic transport connection to your live clients, write the rule to a transport request .
Caution
You should take extreme care when changing personnel calculation rules. Do not make any changes to the standard calculation rules delivered by SAP. There is one exception: you can make changes to personnel calculation rules if the rule is incorrect and SAP has given guidelines on how to modify the rule to remove the error.
