Error Code: MAPPINGTABLE-3

Message

Syntax

The owner of the mapping table class "{mappingTableClassId}" is missing.

Legend
  • {mappingTableClassId}: The ID of the mapping table class

The meaning of this error message depends on the software layers and internal functions of the SAP CC system that handles the message. See the note to adapt the terminology to the concepts and data models you work with.

Detailed Information

When configuring a pricing element in a pricing catalog, you set up the owner information with the owner information that is already set for the catalog that includes your element (data object).

The service provider company that provides some marketable end-customer services with SAP CC owns such a pricing catalog to monetize the service usage and consumption.

In SAP Convergent Charging, the catalog owner is a textual reference to:

  • The "contracting" service provider (such as the company name) that want to monetize one or multiple end-customer services
  • An end-customer service (such as the service name or a comprehensive abbreviation)
  • A bundle of end-customer services (such as the name of this bundle) that can be priced by using some common pricing elements from a unique catalog

The exact meaning depends on your implementation requirements.

Tips

When modeling and designing the catalog owner information, use a combination of:

  • The company name of the service provider that you represent.
  • The name of the marketable end-customer service or the name of a service bundle that must be priced by using the corresponding pricing catalog.

For example, configure your system with: GAFA, GAFA Digital Services, or GAFA Duo Services.

Use the same information to rename a pricing catalog and facilitate the maintenance and troubleshooting.

In a training system, SAP CC users can set up the catalog owners by using their user ID or lastname for example.

The SAP CC system uses this technical information to control the master data consistency. A pricing catalog and all its pricing elements must have the same owner information.

Note

The catalog owner is not the SAP CC user who configures a pricing catalog and its elements.

Next Actions and Steps (Troubleshooting)

Add an owner to the mapping table class.

Verify your changes.

Notes for Troubleshooting

Consider the specifications of the appropriate technical interfaces: Web Services, HTTP Communication Interface (HCI), or Message TCP.
