Consider the technical information about this metric subnode in the metric hierarchy:
| Software Product and Version | SAP Convergent Charging 2020 |
| Path | SAP Convergent Charging | Backends | {Writer Name} (BulkWriter) |
This node groups the performance and health data that relates to the file writing activities in bulk processing mode with the file system to store temporary data managed by an SAP CC Core Server system. For each data stream, basic key metrics are available: throughput, response time, and concurrency.
Bulk writing relates to the generation of output business data that results from charging and refilling operations. Depending on the SAP CC system configuration, bulk writing consists in outputting of a chargeable item, a charged item, a refill record, or a notification to a file. It is an activity of the rater instances in the running SAP CC systems.
Note
Both the bulk writing and bulk loading activities also bulk write erroneous data to specific files.
For more information about the bulk loading performed in the bulkloader instances, consider:
The bulk writing activities depends on the Charging output Integration Framework (CIF) customization during the implementation phase and the integration project. Corresponding system parameters are visible in the SAP CC Admin+ user interface like for example:
Example
In an hybrid prepaid and postpaid environment, the following subnode are available for your monitoring or troubleshooting operations. Each rater instance in the monitored SAP CC system reports the metrics dedicated to the bulk writing activity.
| Example of Subnode | Related Process or Function | |
|---|---|---|
| POSTPAID_CIT_WRITER (BulkWriter) | Convergent charging operations to be charged to postpaid or external accounts in a billing or invoicing system like SAP Convergent Invoicing (SAP CI) in the SAP EPR system | |
| PREPAID_CIT_WRITER (BulkWriter) | Convergent charging operations charged to prepaid accounts from the end customers of the consumed digital services | |
| RerateEvent (BulkWriter) | Re-charging operations to be taken into account in the billing or invoicing system | |
