Detailed Description

The generation of a thread dump file consists in the following operations:

  • A data collection operation, that is used to retrieve the data related to the execution context of the concerned thread
  • A file creation operation within the output defined path
  • A flushing operation of the collected data within the created file
  • A file closing operation
This metric provides the average duration used by the overall generation operation, and thus gives the possibility to differentiate the duration of the file management (creation, flushing and closing) operations from the duration of the data collection operation.
